Overview
This grid tie inverter converts DC power from a solar panel into AC power for connection to the utility grid. The AC output is synchronized and in-phase with the utility grid, supporting PV power generation for appliances and/or office equipment.
Recommended for direct solar panel input only; it cannot be used with a battery or wind power source.
Key Features
- Pure sine wave inverter output
- Designed for common PV module voltages: 18V (36 cells), 24V (60 cells), and 36V (72 cells)
- Works with monocrystalline and/or polycrystalline solar panels
- Distributed, module-level design concept described with an individual MPPT per PV module connection
- Low-voltage DC connection from PV module to inverter to reduce high DC voltage risk

Details

A grid-tie inverter connects a solar panel’s DC output to the residential AC grid through a two-way AC meter for net metering.

The 600W grid-tie microinverter description notes DC-to-AC conversion synchronized with the utility grid and MPPT control for PV modules.
