Overview
The JBD AP21S004 is a Smart BMS (battery management system) for LiFePO4 (3.2 V) or Li-ion (3.7 V) battery packs. It supports 8S to 21S packs (commonly used across 24 V / 36 V / 48 V / 60 V systems) and provides monitoring, configurable parameters, balancing, and communications via Bluetooth and UART (with RS485/CANBUS functions stated for this series).
Key Features
- Wide series support: Automatically identifies battery pack strings from 8S to 21S.
- Current range: Continuous current options 80A / 100A / 120A / 150A / 200A; peak current 240A / 300A / 360A / 450A / 600A for 1s (depending on version).
- Balancing: Balance current 200mA; balance mode: Charge Equalization.
- App + PC monitoring/setting: Supports phone Bluetooth APP (Xiaoxiang Electric, iOS/Android) and PC parameter setting via UART/RS485 tools.
- Display support: Supports display; display type: UART display (LCD displayer described as optional accessory).
- Thermal design notes: Thermal Separation Technology V3.0 (no temperature affection, more stable); mainboard separated from power board (reduces heat transfer); CPU level thermal silicon (speeds up heat conduction); honeycomb design (instant heat dissipation).
- Accessory ecosystem: UART/RS485/Bluetooth/LCD Display/Switch/Power Board options are referenced.

Insert for OEM/ODM builds or pack assembly projects that need a configurable smart BMS platform.

Thermal separation design keeps the control board away from the power section to reduce heat transfer and improve stability.

Expansion options include external Bluetooth, UART tools, RS485/CAN integration, and an optional UART LCD display for at-a-glance status.

Bluetooth app monitoring supports key pack data and protection settings from a phone (iOS/Android).

PC configuration via UART enables read/modify/save parameter setup when you prefer a wired connection.

Common uses range from energy storage and UPS systems to e-bikes, low-speed vehicles, marine motors, and industrial equipment.

Wiring reference for multi-series packs: connect balance leads in order, then follow the B− and C− terminals for pack negative and charge/discharge paths.

JBD AP21S004 Smart BMS wiring uses a 20S balance lead sequence (0–20) plus B- and C- connections for battery negative and charge/discharge negative.

The JBD AP21S004 Smart BMS uses a 21S balance lead harness with clearly labeled B- and C- terminals for pack negative and charge/discharge wiring.

Product documentation includes certificates and test reports such as RoHS, ISO 9001, SGS, software copyright, and patent records.

The production setup includes SMT placement, reflow and wave soldering, AOI inspection, and automated testing equipment for assembly workflows.
