Overview

PowMr POW-Keeper1220-30-40 is an MPPT solar charge controller series (20A / 30A / 40A) for 12V/24V systems with auto recognition. It supports a battery voltage range of 8V~32V and includes an LCD display, dual USB output, and load/lighting control functions for solar power systems.

Key Features

  • MPPT technology: tracking efficiency not less than 99.5%; peak conversion efficiency up to 97%.
  • 12V/24V auto recognized; system voltage can be selected from the display interface.
  • Battery types (selectable): USE (User default), SLD (Sealed), FLD (Flooded), GEL, LFE (LiFePO4), LI (Lithium / Li(NiCoMn)O2). For lithium batteries, manual setting is required.
  • Display interface supports viewing parameters such as total charge power, load mode, load disconnect voltage, float voltage, and load reconnect voltage (press “MENU” to view/change parameters).
  • Load working modes: Manual Mode (24H); Solar Light Control Mode (Sunset–Sunrise: Sunset on, Sunrise off); Solar Light + Time control (Sunset on + time + Sunrise off).
  • Protections listed: reverse current, reverse polarity protection, overload protection, short circuiting, overcharging, over-discharging.
  • Temperature sensing and compensation coefficient: -4mV/°C/2V (25°C).

Connection Notes

  1. Connect battery.
  2. Connect load.
  3. Connect PV array.
  4. Controller powers on after connection.
  • Battery terminal should be installed with insulation, and the installation distance should not exceed 50mm.
  • This MPPT series is common positive: controller, PV array, battery, and load positive poles can be grounded at the same time.
  • If an inverter or other high starting-current equipment is used, connect the inverter directly to the battery (do not connect it to the controller’s load terminal).
